How a Failing 6DRH Injector Presents
On the PSA-only 2.0 HDi run, a failing injector typically presents with cold-start hesitation that lasts 30 to 60 seconds longer than normal — the rail loses prime overnight while one cylinder bleeds fuel back through a worn seat. The second signature is a steady loss of pulling power above 2,500 rpm under load — the car simply will not push past 90 mph on a flat motorway. The third is intermittent EML triggered after long motorway runs where the ECU finally logs a P1351 / P1352 cylinder-imbalance code.
Because the 6DRH-coded engines are predominantly fitted to MPVs (807, 5008, C8, SpaceTourer), the failures are most visible to drivers who tow or carry heavy loads — the engine cannot mask the imbalance under load the way it can on light passenger-car duty.
