A 7-digit injector code is written to the ECU with Honda HDS on fitment. Failures are driven by poor fuel filtration, contamination and back-leakage wear. Key symptoms: Rough idle / vibration; Hard starting; Loss of power / limp mode; Black smoke. Common failure modes: Internal wear / high back-leakage; Water-in-fuel corrosion; Nozzle coking.
